Michelle Ball
Moving from New York back to Australia, Michelle says she now lives as she grew up — on the edge of a National Park. As a remote location, Pittwater’s natural environment inspires her to learn more every day.
Walking local tracks and being part of community bush care groups, Michelle is “in constant awe of the beauty and fragility” of Australia’s natural environment. The landscapes, and details of flora and fauna that she encounters, are the subject of her paintings.
“I cannot help but be influenced by situations, people and places around me and it is this observation that makes for an ongoing story,” she says.
