Rouge Mace
Rouge loves exploring the interplay of shape, colour and texture, applying different techniques and materials. Her artistic style is diverse, intuitive and spontaneous. The unknown excites her.
Rouge’s textiles are a combination of felting, weaving, stitching of merino wools, silks and threads to create wearable-art scarves and shawls, as well cushions, bags and wall hangings. Her ceramics are wheel-thrown, hand-built vessels, including cups and bowls. Each handcrafted piece is unique and hand-painted, reflecting her curiosity and creativity.
Rouge moved to Scotland Island in 1997. Her home and studio up on Rocky Point headland, overlooking beautiful Pittwater.
